( Finally! ) Introducing ...

Daniel Timothy Coleman!

30 mins old (still unnamed, ha!)

Born at 5:59 Tuesday morning, -- I must add here, we had been in the hospital for a record 2 hours at this point!  So even though Jeff didn't get any sleep that night, it's not because he was stressed about getting me to the hospital on time, it's because he was actually doing it :) --

20 mins old

weighing in at 9 lbs 8 oz, a solid 9 1/2 pounds.  Not the biggest baby out there, just My biggest baby (he beat Anna by 2 oz).

9 lbs 7.7 oz

He was 22" long 

 Head circumference 14 3/4 "

Welcomed by a loving, excited family!  

Due to a few concerns the nurses and doctors had (rapid respiration, excessive jitters -- he was nicknamed 'the jitterbug' by the nurses -- and a slight heart murmur) they recommended kangaroo care, monitored his oxygen levels for a while, checked his blood sugar levels twice, did a bunch of other blood tests, a chest x-ray, and an EKG.  All of which meaning they wouldn't let us go home the first day as we were hoping.  But after monitoring him overnight (ha! that was the plan, but it turns out he didn't want to settle down/stop jittering anywhere but in my arms, so I ended up sleeping with him on my chest, with unattached wires hanging off him.  Fine by me :) ) they pronounced him clean the next morning and let us go.  

 We got home to this!

Getting to know Great Grampa

Daniel and Matthew ... funny, I'm sure Matthew wasn't this big just two days ago!

And then they strung these wires all over me, and when they were done that then they took my clothes off and put me on a lead slab, and then they poked my foot again, and then ...

You're not my mommy!

So now we're settled in at home, the rest of the kids are coming home tomorrow morning, and Daniel wants to go eat again ...
