Connections

Meeting connections just make me laugh sometimes!

Our household recently received a letter in the mail addressed to "The Colmans".  Which ones?  Obviously from someone that doesn't know either of us that well, since they didn't even know how to spell our name!  It was bulky and looked like a wedding invitation.  S&S were gone that week, so I decided it might be for us and (with Coralee's help) opened it a bit, just enough to see that one of the soon-to-be-married peoples was a Rule, so it must be for our household!  Opened it all the way, the guys name was "Daniel Rule", marrying some unknown from California.  Well, don't I have a cousin name Dani John?  His real first name must be Daniel!  There was a website address, so I went on there, hoping it would have a picture of him, and it did (but unfortunately not any of him with his family), and after staring at it for a while he just doesn't look Anything like I expected.  Really, he doesn't look like anyone in his family!  In fact, he looks much more like Peter Rule ... Aha, he must be one of Peter's brothers whom I've never met, and since they have connections down in Oregon, which is where Susan came from, the invitation must actually be for the upstairs family!  Mystery solved.

So S&S come home, I show them the invitation, Susan looks at it, like, Who is this?  Never heard of him before?  And Steve pipes up, Oh yeah, he invited me on Facebook a couple weeks ago.

Haha!!!

That was random, folks.

Have a good week, make good connections!

Outings with Jeff -- April

One Friday in April, we went on the SkyTrain, which was the first time any of us had been on it,

... to the Science Museum!

They had a special Lego castle exhibit going, which was pretty cool!

It was looking at this exhibit (or one like it) that Anna said "horse" for the first time.  Yes, this was a big deal, as she had previously steadfastly said "doggie, doggie," every time she saw a horse (which, when she was watching Tim play Mount & Blade, was crazingly often) no matter how much we prompted her with the right word.

I love Nathan's face in the corner of this picture!  (Click on it for a bigger view)

And, of course, like any good science museum, it had a water section.

"Giddup, froggie!"
