The Fence ... Mostly Water, Actually

Well, where do I start?  I have almost a year's worth of stuff to catch up on sharing with my families, so these posts will probably (certainly) not be in order, just tidbits in a random order.  Anything's better than nothing, right? :)

First off, last week!  My goal for the week was to finish staining the fence.  We are enjoying an unusually warm and sunny spell, and it seemed an advantageous week to redeem the time, not knowing when our summer may suddenly dump us, leaving us to the fate of a rainy fall.

So, while I was busy painting, I set up a water slide thing for the kids to play on.  What fun!

Hm, where are the children that belong in these clothes?

There are two of them, looking delightfully normal!

I guess Anna was thirsty ...

Say Kim Chi, kids!

On Saturday there was still a quarter of the fence left to stain, so Jeff, Steve and Susan all pitched in and we managed to get it all done before supper!!!  Wow, I am a bit thrilled about that :)  Randomly, Morgan and Tara were also over for most of the day, and all the kids enjoyed the water some more.  Thanks, Aunt Kathryn, for a most well-used gift!

Susan insisted on painting for several hours, even though we all said she shouldn't feel obliged because pregnancy is making her feel somewhat nastyish.

So now it's done, it looks good, I feel very accomplished, and I like my tan ;)

  2. Awesome, now I can see life from your perspective! Not fair, though, to post a photo of me looking surprised, but none of you! ;) And I had worked all of 5 minutes at that point and you worked all week!
